Massachusetts

Summary

The Massachusetts law used to be a non standard regulatory act. This changed with the adoption H 4957 on January 14, 2011. It is effective 90 days after. The new law was originally sponsored by the NHSCA. While the NHSCA allowed the bill top percolate without active lobbying in the 2009-2010 period, the bill continued to move. Many thanks to Pierce Haley of Johnson & Haley and to American Home Shield for their efforts to see this law through. With some minor modifications, it is the NAIC model registration law.
